VOTER REGISTRATION:
While DC allows for same-day voter registration, the main deadline for registering to vote in the District is Tuesday, October 16th. Voters can submit their voter registration via mail, the DCBOE’s website, and use its mobile application.
If you miss the October 16th deadline, you can register during the early voting period or on Election Day. Voters who register on site must bring proof of DC residency (which includes a valid D.C. driver’s license, permit, or resident ID, or a recent utility bill, bank statement, or check). HOWEVER, IDENTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED TO VOTE IN DC.
