The Air Quality Division of the District Department of the Environment (DDOE) has received an application from SMART Automotive to construct and operate an auto body paint spray booth at 2615 Evarts St. NE.
A public hearing will be held at the DDOE headquarters on January 12, 2015 at 5:30 PM. I strongly urge neighbors to join me in testifying against the proposed spray paint booth. Ward 5 Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie has sent a letter to DDOE Director Wells and Chief Ours in opposition to the proposed spray booth. Those unable to make it to the hearing can submit written comments.
