Creating a Better Environment Together Last week I met with Tommy Wells, not just a good friend and mentor, but the head of the District Department of the Environment. Our conversation covered a range of issues, from still water around CSX-owned tracks, to Ward 5’s spray booth problems, and to our underutilized green spaces.

When I tell people that I’m running for office, I often get asked what position I’m running for. When I say an ANC Commissioner, they often ask “what’s an ANC Commissioner?” or “What exactly is an ANC?” Well, the answer to those questions lies below.
