Spring 2015 DC Student Leadership Summit at Georgetown University

All college students attending DC universities are invited to attend this FREE quarterly summit at Georgetown University on Saturday, April 25th from 1:00 to 4pm.

Meet other area college students and discuss important policy decisions, development projects, and changes affecting their respective universities. There will also be discussions on citywide and nationwide policies affecting DC’s college students. Thanks to Alex Bradley, and everyone else involved in making this quarterly summit happen.

Commissioner Deleon to Introduce DC Statehood Resolution

At ANC 5C’s next regularly scheduled meeting, Commissioner Deleon will introduce several resolutions, including one in support of DC Statehood. The Resolution, which is poised to pass, will be sent to Senator Ron Johnson, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and House Rep. Jason Chaffetz, Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Both committees oversee the District of Columbia. The proposed Pepco/Exelon merger is a bad deal for you and me

In April 2014, Chicago-based energy giant Exelon proposed a $6.4 billion takeover of Pepco Holdings.
